Diaper Drive at Rehoboth - Home for mentally challenged

Through our Diaper Drive project completed on 01/07/25, we provided Adult Diapers for the inmates of Rehoboth - a home for mentally challenged destitute women. Details of the project are as follows.

About Rehoboth

  1. Rehoboth is a Home for mentally challenged destitute women.
  2. There are around 350 inmates, women, mostly rescued and brought through the Police authorities.
  3. Rehoboth also runs a School for the children of inmates who are mentally retarded and also few outsiders - mentally challenged children. They are given basic academic education or vocational training depending upon the student's learning ability.
  4. Rehoboth also has an old age home.
  5. Some able inmates are trained in embroidery, stitching, sewing and making products like bags, laptop bags, folders etc. The products are commercially marketed and sold. These activities help in engaging the inmates productively besides generating a source of funds for their operations.
  6. Rehoboth runs the facility through funds received from few CSR donors and individual donors. They have a continuous need of funds to manage the operations.

Our contribution

  1. We provided 1200 Adult Diapers to the inmates. This quantity covers their requirement for 3 months.
  2. The project cost of Rs.1,00,000 was sponsored by Rtn. R. Vaidyanathan, CEO of Unisafe Enterprises, Ambattur, Chennai. This company manufactures various hygiene products including the diapers.

  3. Diapers distributed to the inmates. Purpose of the project and expression of our support conveyed through speeches of the RCG members, Sponsor and Rehoboth Official.
