Our team conducted the Endrum Anandham initiative at Little Drops Trust, Porur. RCG sponsored the lunch and our members spent time with the inmates.
Little Drops is a remarkable organization that operates 10 branches, providing shelter and care to over 1,200 elderly residents. Since its inception, the trust has supported more than 10,000 destitute elders, offering them a place of dignity and compassion. Around 330 beneficiaries were touched.
During our visit, our members were deeply moved by the conditions and stories of the inmates. The Porur home currently shelters around 330 elderly individuals, many of whom suffer from severe health issues, locomotive disabilities, require oxygen support, or are mentally challenged. The facility has even been graced by a visit from Mother Teresa, underscoring its long-standing service to humanity. The management shared that they face 10–12 deaths each month, owing to the residents’ critical health and age-related complications. They have earnestly appealed for our club’s support — both for performing dignified last rites for the deceased inmates and for supplying essential cleaning materials to help maintain hygiene and sanitation in the home.
We sincerely hope our club adds a little drop to this ocean of kindness in every possible way, with the wholehearted support of our members.
