Rotary Club of Guindy is based out of Chennai, India, and was chartered in 1995 as a chapter of Rotary International. Rotary Club of Guindy (RCG) is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all our users, especially children and young people. This Child Protection & Safety Policy describes how we protect minors and promote responsible use of our services.
Age Restrictions
The RCG app is intended for users aged 18 years and above. Children under this age are not permitted to use the app. If we become aware that a child below the required age has registered, we will delete their account and associated data.
Parental & Guardian Responsibility
Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise their child’s use of the app. We provide privacy and safety settings to help limit exposure to certain interactions. Parents/guardians may contact us using the support email and contact number mentioned below to request account reviews, data deletion, or additional information about safety practices.
Safe Use & User Conduct
We strictly prohibit:
- Bullying, harassment, or exploitation of minors
- Sharing of sexually explicit, violent, or harmful material
- Attempts to collect, share, or misuse children’s personal information
- Encouraging dangerous, illegal, or age-inappropriate activities
Violations will result in content removal, account suspension, and, if required, notification to relevant authorities.
Child Data & Privacy
Although Rotary Club actively engages children aged 12 to 18 through our Interact program, we do not collect or process personal data from children via this app. If a child’s data has been collected unintentionally, parents or guardians can request deletion by contacting us. Children’s personal information is never sold or shared for advertising or marketing purposes.
Safety & Protection Features
We actively monitor and review user-generated content to prevent harmful or inappropriate material. Users can report unsafe or abusive behaviour directly in the app. Access to the application is restricted through registered user IDs and passwords.
Response to Concerns
All reports related to child safety are treated as a priority. We may involve law enforcement or child protection authorities if a child’s safety is at risk. Our support team can be reached at the email and contact number mentioned below for immediate concerns.
Continuous Commitment
We regularly update this policy and our safety features to comply with Google Play’s Developer Program Policies, COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), GDPR-K (General Data Protection Regulation – provisions for minors), DPDP Act of India, and other applicable international child protection laws.
