RCG launched Project Vazhikatti, a unique career exploration program designed to inspire and guide school students from Grade 6 to 12. In today’s fast-changing world, young minds often face confusion about their future paths. Vazhikatti, meaning “the one who shows the way,” aims to provide the right exposure, awareness, and direction to help students make informed decisions about their careers. Through interactive sessions, expert talks, workshops, and engaging activities, students will learn about a wide range of professions – from science, technology, medicine, law, business, and arts to sports, entrepreneurship, and emerging new-age careers. The initiative also emphasizes values, skills, and personal development, ensuring holistic growth beyond academics. With the dedicated support of Rotarians, trainers, and subject experts, RCG plans to reach and positively impact the lives of at least 10,000 students from schools across Chennai during the Rotary Year 2025-26. This flagship project is spearheaded under the leadership of President Rtn. Radha Krish, guided by Director of Vocational Service Rtn. Karthikeyan KS, and coordinated by Project Chairman Rtn. Nandagopal KS. Project Vazhikatti is more than guidance; it is a mission to empower the next generation with clarity, confidence, and courage to pursue their dreams.

The project was successfully launched at our Interact School - Kannada Sangha Higher Secondary School in Ayanavaram, Chennai. Chief Guest, Dr Sreemathy, Founder and CEO of Space Kidz India, impressed the children through her powerful interaction and made a strong impact with her showcasing real satellites that were produced under her leadership by school children from smaller towns and had completed space missions successfully. Guest of Honour PDG Rtn Dr Nandakumar and RCG dignitaries motivated the children to take full advantage of the Project in order to accomplish their aspirations. The School Management assured 100% support by enrolling maximum children in the project. Vazhikatti sessions will commence soon.
